Hey! My name is Phil Schrupp, and I founded SOTA Fitness in 2017, which I think has become one of the coolest places to work in the Twin Cities.

All day we get to help people become the strongest version of themselves through fitness.

It's truly rewarding work we’ve been doing for over 7 years.

While most people get little to no fulfillment from their job… you’ll get the opportunity to help people get fit, healthy, and strong… every day.

  • Money: It’s really awesome here but we’re certainly not going to ask you to work for free. Comp ranges from $30-$40 per hour after successful onboarding with additional income opportunities along the way.

  • Benefits: We provide a stipend for Health Insurance, IRA contributions, paid vacation, and a healthy allotment of continuing education opportunities for full-time positions.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Positive Energy: Having positive energy is not a benefit, it’s a job requirement for us.

  • Connection with Members: We’re looking for someone who is outstanding with people. You have to love people from all walks of life and be genuinely excited about helping others achieve their goals.

  • No Drama: We’ve run a drama-free gym for over 7 years, and we plan to keep it that way!

  • Desire to Learn: You don’t have to be the world's best trainer to start working here, but you need to have an incredible thirst to become a better trainer and coach on the daily.

  • Certifications/Degrees: A Personal Trainer Certification or a College Degree in a movement science is strongly preferred, but not required to apply.

  • Experience: At least one year of previous training experience is highly preferred, but not required to apply. If you’re new to the fitness industry, please do not let that prevent you from submitting an application. While you will be required to earn a CPT certification before you lead any sessions, we have a world-class onboarding system that will have you ready to train faster and better than any certification out there.
