OUR ORIGIN STORY


 

In 2014 Phil Schrupp began planting the roots for SOTA Fitness with a single mission in mind: to transform people's lives and change the way they think about sustainable fitness and nutrition forever. To get out of pain, and to start living a life without limits.

Just a few years prior to opening SOTA, Phil was struck by a drunk driver, resulting in a fractured spine and torn shoulder ligaments. After countless physical therapy appointments with unresolved pain, he was eventually told he would have to learn to manage life without resolve.

Only a few weeks after being introduced to strength training, his body started to change. Aches and pains started to disappear and he was finally able to start living the life he had once forgotten: one without pain.

He started SOTA in 2017 after training independently for several years and quickly assembled a rockstar team of coaches who had the same core values. To help, support, push, and listen to our members.

We believe that if you can unlock the power of your mind, you unlock the power of your body. We have helped thousands of busy adults get stronger, build their confidence, and bulletproof their bodies for whatever life has to throw at us… and we’re just getting started!
