DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS & MEMBER EXPERIENCE SPECIALIST

BACKGROUND

I have always had a passion for movement and a fascination with the human body and mind. That passion started in high school running track and cross country, and playing hockey and softball. Like so many, I stopped regularly exercising in my mid-20s after starting my first job out of school and started experiencing debilitating lower back pain. Shortly thereafter, I began taking hot yoga and strength training, and fell in love with the practice and what it did for my body (and mind!)

I come from a background in healthcare, first as a Radiologic Technologist and later as a Clinical Specialist in the medical device industry. In 2020, while juggling a full-time job and raising a 1-year-old, I made the bold decision to go back to school and earn my Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management and communications. In 2023, having spent over 13 years and countless late nights in the operating room, I decided it was time for a positive change. The chaos and unpredictability took a heavy toll on my mental and physical health and made it impossible to maintain any work-life balance. Life is too short!

I love crafting and anything DIY. Learning new skills and taking on new challenges fuels my fire! I also enjoy reading, escape rooms, and of course, raising our two beautiful little sour-patch kids (Shay & Sophia). Having two young girls at home is a huge motivating factor behind our daily choices and decisions. We need to model the healthy habits and behaviors we hope our girls adopt- being active and making healthy choices!

VISION

I love learning about people and hearing their stories. I believe our past experiences and the choices we make today help shape our future selves. I strive to learn every day and use that wisdom moving forward. After all, if we’re not learning, we’re not growing! The human brain is inexplicably powerful (believe me, I’ve seen thousands of them 😉)… “The body achieves what the mind believes”.

I am so excited to be a part of the SOTA Fam. To help create life-changing experiences and to contribute to the growth and success of this kick-ass community. I am here to help in any way possible, so please reach out to me anytime!

EXPERIENCE

I hold a Bachelors Degree in Healthcare Management and Communications. Previous to my roles at SOTA, I spent 7.5 years as a Senior Clinical Specialist for Medtronic in the Cranial and Spinal Technologies division. My primary focus was supporting neurosurgeons during brain and spinal surgeries.
