BACKGROUND

Being active has always been a huge part of my life! I played many sports throughout my athletic career but when it came time to “retire” I felt lost. With no longer access to a coach guiding me through workouts, I decided to figure it out myself! I became obsessed with learning everything there is to know about lifting weights, which soon blossomed into my obsession with health and wellness today! So much so in fact, I changed colleges and my career path! I love being able to give people the tools they need for their life tool belt!

VISION

The health and fitness realm is very intimidating for a lot of people. I was once one of them. My ultimate goal is to break down that barrier and create a positive relationship with a healthy lifestyle for everyone. I want to help shift the mindset from “I don’t want to work out today” to “I get to work out and move my body today!” My goal is to get you physically stronger but also mentally stronger! Through my years of coaching, I have learned that a negative relationship with the gym typically stems from a negative attitude toward oneself. One of my favorite quotes is: “Your brain does not differentiate between what is reality and what is imagined”. The brain is your strongest muscle, and if you only feed it negative thoughts, it will only produce negative realities. I will always replace a negative thought with a positive statement! If you speak positively, then you will see positivity!

EXPERIENCE

My coaching experience is heavily tied to the athletic realm. I began my coaching journey at Wayzata High School in 2019 as the assistant director of strength and conditioning for the “Trojan Power” program. Every summer since then, I have helped develop and build a strong foundation for Wayzata’s 6th-12th grade athletes through resistance training. While attending the University of Minnesota-Duluth, I had the opportunity to intern as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach for three years. It was here I realized my passion was not for sports performance coaching, but more for connecting with individuals and helping them achieve their goals. I began personal training sessions with UMD faculty and absolutely fell in love with it. There is nothing better than watching my clients realize their progress and potential! I love being able to help everyday people hit milestones they never thought possible (because it is possible!)
